|Description:||The term ‘genealogy’ is the study of family ancestors with documen-tation of birth, marriage, and death dates through parents, grand-parents, great grandparents, as far back as possible. ‘Family history’ is more an in-depth study of the lineage in a family including the life stories of individuals; like their education, occupations, medical con-ditions, military service, residences, etc.
If you get excited about the thought of “Finding Your Roots,” this is the course for you. At one time or another, we all have thought about our family history. Elaine will show you the basics of locating ancestors that you never knew you had using Ancestry.com. There is nothing like discovering facts and documents about your ancestors, and developing a family tree that can be handed down to the younger generation so they will know their “Roots.”
