Title: Wild Medicinal Herbs
Contact: The Hub, 845-856-7313 ext. 5
Location: The Community Room
Description: Our region is home to many native wild plants that were employed by Native Americans as remedies and cures. Colonists brought many old world plants with them and introduced many European plants that have since gone wild and have become part of our landscape. Even many Chinese medicinal herbs are growing wild in our area. This presentation will touch on some well-known as well as rare medicinal herbs that grow in the area, including native plants and invasive weeds.

Herbalist Nathaniel Whitmore is considered to be an expert in the field of using wild plants, which he has studied throughout his education and professional work. Please join Nathaniel for this incredible opportunity to learn about the rich healing environment that surrounds us.

Programs require pre-registration and are limited to 16 participants; however, number of participants may vary depending on subject matter. Schedule is subject to change. Patrons who have pre-registered will be notified.
